Dental implants support replacement teeth from within the jawbone. For suitable patients, they can improve chewing, provide greater stability and replace missing teeth without relying on neighbouring teeth for support.
Missing teeth or loose dentures can make meals difficult. Implant-supported teeth can provide a more secure bite, helping you chew more comfortably once treatment and healing are complete.
Implants can help retain a removable denture or support a fixed replacement, depending on your treatment plan. Added support can reduce slipping and movement when eating or speaking.
A single implant and crown can replace a missing tooth without preparing the neighbouring teeth for a conventional bridge. This may be especially helpful when those teeth are healthy.
